About Us

Alresford Beauty started life originally as the Rachael Street Beauty Clinic on October 1st 1990, in a small room in the hairdressers in East Street. After 2 1/2 years, Rachael started a mobile business until she found her own premises. On March 1st 1994 Alresford Beauty opened at 34 West Street, originally with Rachael working alone in a curtained off room.

Over the years the business grew to such an extent that in June 2013, Alresford Beauty re-launched itself in new larger premises at 24a West Street taking the ground and lower ground floor. In January 2018 Alresford Beauty expanded into all four floors of the premises.

“I am so lucky to be able to get up in the morning and love the fact that I am off to work. I have built up a fantastic little business, and many of my clients I would class as friends. I pride myself in knowing you all by name! I feel my niche treatments are waxing, electrolysis and red vein therapy. I also love treating ‘problem skins’ whatever your problem may be. Also if you have a knotty stressed back then my massage is firm, but effective.”

Emma Stevenson

Emma Stevenson

Sports and Remedial Massage

You do not need to be an athlete to have a sports massage. Repetitive work-related activities, prolonged periods of sitting at a computer, a trip or fall can all contribute to pain or discomfort; thus, leading to tension, reduced movement and reduced flexibility.

I trained as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist at the renowned London School of Sports Massage. Sports massage is designed to support the prevention of injury and promote healing in the muscles and working to reduce the restrictions of joints.

It can help to; • Warm your muscles and flush out toxins • Identify and breakdown tension or pain in your muscles • Reduce fatigue and improve circulation • Optimise recovery • Enhances range of motion and flexibility

Using Massage and other advanced techniques, sports massage can benefit all minor and chronic injuries due to sporting injuries or general lifestyle influences. It can help to enhance your sporting performance by increasing the efficiency of the soft tissues, preventing injury and aid recovery. Regular treatment can help prevent injuries, new or recurring, by identifying any dysfunction or niggles before it becomes an issue. Emma can be booked direct with us, or if you would prefer you can contact her on.
