Happy New Year

Dear Lovely Clients,

Happy New Year to you all!

For those of you who aren’t and following our page on Facebook, or haven’t had a phone call re-arranging appointments, a small disaster has slightly struck the Ashbee Family holiday in the Maldives.

On Wednesday 29th December, I started feeling unwell. We had been out on a boat trip in the Morning, and I had put my slightly discombobulated feeling down to the 3 hour trip, no breakfast and a possible hangover. When we got back, I went to bed. I was shivery and slept, my body aching. I forced myself out to eat supper, but then went back to the room and slept more.

The next day over breakfast, I broke the news to Tom that I now had a sore throat and still ached, with a headache now and was developing a cough. We decided to get me tested.

That evening the Manager of the hotel came and found Tom and told him my test results were positive for Covid. We were told we had to return to our rooms, Tom was to move in with the girls.

The next day the rest of the family was tested, and Scarlett (my youngest) was positive. She is now in isolation with me. We are both absolutely fine. At the time of writing this email, I just have the
cough left. Scarlett only showed a temperature for a few hours. (its hard to tell whether she was sleeping more – she’s a teenager!)

The long and the short of it is……

Madivian regulations state isolation (for positive cases) and quarantine (for close contacts) are to stay in their rooms for 14 days, and only get released when the government have authorised it.

This for us means we are now flying home overnight on 16th January.

I will be back to work on Tuesday 18th.
